My i30 estate failed its MOT on front subframe being corroded.
No garage near me wanted the job so I’ve sourced the part and I’m going to tackle it myself.
I’m fairly competent with cars etc as I work as a maintenance engineer so I can use my noggin, has anyone changed the front subframe before and had success? It’s an estate 2011, if anyone has some advice would be appreciated, thank you

Been a while so I hope you have sorted this out.

I have just recently removed my subframe from my 2011 hatchback to replace steering rack.

It is a fairly big job and was awkward at times but is a fairly easy process so long as you have patience and a helping hand at times.

Followed the workshop manual - I bought a download copy but there are links on this forum.
