I have an issue with my car that makes me want to rip my hair out...
When it has not been driven for some time, over night is enough, it starts, but then stops again after just a few seconds. Sometimes it can start again with some cranking, but usually I have to go pump on top of the diesel filter, then wait for a couple of minutes and try again. Then it starts after a little cranking and runs like normal.
When it starts it runs perfectly fine and it starts up like it should after the initial start up. There are no fault codes, neither current or stored.
I have tried changing the diesel filter and the hose on top of the engine (part number 314712A401, not sure what it is called in English - see added picture), but it made no difference.
It seems to me to be an issue where the diesel pressure is lost while standing, but where?
Anyone here know where I should look next?
