I've been trawling through the internet trying to find information about suitable towbars for my i30. Firstly the towbar, there appears to be two types: (1) that goes below the silencer and (2) goes to the rear of the silencer and hence needs a cut-out in the bumper. Does anyone know which is better? I also don't want to have a removable towball as I needed on my previous i30 (2015) as it obscured the number plate. I'm assuming that both these towbars have the towball below the number plate.
Secondly, the electrics. Am I correct in thinking that there is a socket somewhere inside the car for a towbar wiring harness? Is it a can-bus system in the car (which means that one cannot wire the trailer lights directly to the bulbs!). Any help would be appreciated!
