G'day
Recently purchased a 2014 i30 1.8 petrol and it has this weird problem..when I 1st start when its cold it's fine for about 30 seconds then starts ticking "as the revs go up and down" then after 1 or 2 minutes it's quite as a mouse again..I've tried 5/30  10/40 penrite full synthetic k&n gold oil filters , additives , flushes the lot but to no avail..no smoke no lose of power that i know of ..any help would be great

You say as the revs go up and down ? As in when your idle the revs are fluctuating up and down and if so does it do this when the engine is hot too (ie when stopped at a traffic light during a drive) or only upon first starting the car ?
