Hi, hopefully some can point me in the right direction. On my partners can the esc light came on, the speedo stopped working and there was a slight drop in power I plugged in my code reader and it came up with a clutch switch fault. I replaced the clutch switch with a new one but now the esc light comes on but the speedo works and there is no loss of power. I put the code reader on again and it is still saying clutch switch fault. Any ideas???

It looks to me that the fault needs to be cleared, not just repaired.

I deleted the fault code as soon as I replaced the clutch switch, since then I have noticed another switch at the top of the clutch pedal. Has anyone got an idea of what this switch is for and how are you supposed to remove it??

The top clutch switch is for disengaging the cruise control and operating the stop start system, if it's faulty it may coincide with an ESC fault code as far as I'm aware, does your car have cruise control or stop start, do they work?
The switch unbolts via a nut and a harness connector.
