Hi,

It happened! My car passed the first stage of mechanical and visual tuning before turbo installation in the future.

Stylistic changes:

- Dimming windows: rear side, rear by 3M foil;
- Modification of the front  chrome grill;
- New Alloy wheels, from MOMO Italy company 16";
- New, drilled and incised  brakes discs from GT MIKODA + red brakes calipers;

Mechanical modifications:

- Installation of sporting exhaust manifold (INOX)  a termic bandage wrapped  with a new gasket;
- Installation of sporting metallic catalytic converter with a higher flow (Euro2);
- Installation of a complete inox exhaust with two sports silencers (diameter adapted for mounting the turbo in the future);
- Modification of the throttle to obtain maximum opening;
- Throttle off heat;
- Installation of the electronic control unit for engine steering (POWER-TEC by ZASTEC);
- Tuning the car on a dynamometer;

Measurement after modifications:

Power: 163 HP
Torque 215 Nm

Best regards,
maverick78

Welcome maverick78!
I see you didn't niggard at all :)
20+ hp before turbo installation :eek: You've done a great job!
Do you think of tuning the springs and shock absorbers before installing the turbo?

Hi babis_xo, Argus,

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Yes, I plan to modify the suspension (Eibach springs, shock absorbers) in the next year before installing the turbo.

Best regards,
maverick78

He, he... It's going to be the ultimate "diesel-embarrasser".
I'm a bit of mean with the lucky diesel owners :mrgreen:

Oh yes! You are a bit of mean :mrgreen:
In the polish i30 forum, diesel owners and petrol owners they continue cheerful dispute which motors are better :rolleyes:. ...but that's obvious that petrol motor is the best...next to diesel!!!  :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi,

a few more mods in my car:

1. Mechanical - tuning:

a) Thermal isolation of air intake. (reduces heat transfer to 70%);

b) New high voltage cables with a core JANMOR PROLINE WIRE WOUND (here you can read about them: http://www.janmor.pl/pol/katalog.php?p=main&s=4;

2. Design:

a) Change the style engine cover (red added details);

b) Installation of guards;

Hello !
Very great job  :goodjob:
Just a question : What is the gain in using different high voltage cables ? Is it linked to better thermal robustness ?
Your wheels are perfect for the i30 !
Regards,
