New CRDi on the block.....

Hi everyone,

Picked up my new i30 on Monday, very happy overall, bit disappointed that the leather steering wheel and gear shift has been deleted from the CRDi.....but I do get cruise control, so not a bad trade off.

Installing rear view camera and GPS / Monitor next weekend, just waiting for the camera to arrive from Aus.

I will take some picks of the end result.

Welcome Andy.. sounds like a good choice (you might have to save up and get your wheel retrimmed with leather by a local Upholsterer...) and buy a leather knob  :goodjob2:

Hi again everyone.

Well, I called Hyundai nz and they said the spec had been changed and tha if I wanted to I could cough up $2000 NZ dollars, about 1000 pound sterling. I said "no thanks", then the garage called, if I could call in and leave the car for an hour, the would do it all for free, as the demonstrator could give u it's leather bits for me.

So a few boxes of chocolates and an hour wait, hey presto - happy Andy......

Will update about the reversing camera when done, just waiting for the number plate light camera to arrive.

Excellent result Andy.. :happydance: .... thanks for keeping us in the loop. Happy endings with dealers are the exception rather than the rule I'm afraid  :cool:
