I just had my radio replaced under warranty for the second time, and discovered that the new one does not have long wave, unlike the previous two. The dealer say thay have contacted Hyundai and there is nothing they can do - new radios do not have long wave.

I need long wave to listen to the cricket on BBC radio 4.

Was Long Wave mentioned in the specification of your original purchase? I think if it was, then you have a case.

Just as a clarification, I think you mean Medium Wave (MW) known here in Australia as the "Broadcast Band"; 530KHz - 1600KHz or thereabouts. Probably being replaced by DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting). If your new radio has DAB I'd say it's just keeping up with what's happening (and DAB should have the cricket).

Yeah, I forgot you guys have LW... we never did. Even so isn't some of this stuff slated to be relaced by DAB?

Had the radio replaced about 10 days ago, I still have Long Wave reception with the latest Firmware.
LCD is faint though.

I have just noticed that I can receive the cricket on 720 am. It appears to be the radio 4 long wave feed. It is not a great reception but it's listenable here in West Yorkshire.
