Hi everyone just thought i would introduce myself. My name is Neil  i'm 30 and i live in the North East of England, in the UK.

Last Friday i collected my silver 2008, 2.0 crdi premium i30, (pic attached).

I am not new to forums and have previously been part of the Alfa Romeo owners club and more recently the Focus ST owners club. I found my time with owners forums enjoyable and invaluable when i have had problems or questions.

Ok so my i30 is no Focus ST in terms of performance but i must say i have been really surprised and impressed by it. My initial motivation for change was fuel economy and tax cost, however i do really like the look of the i30 and the gadgets and interior are way better than what i had on the Focus.

Future plans for it are not that adventurous, however I am going to fit the MS design bodykit (minus the rear bumper protectors, i don't like them)

Hope to speak with many of you soon,

Cheers, Neil (NBi30).

Welcome to the club Neil.

My test drive was in a 2.0L crdi Premium, 2008 model. Same colour as yours too!

Nice trim level, the premium, with all its fancy gadgets and delirious torque.

I notice you're not a fan of smilies, neither am I, so this simple welcome should suffice :goodjob:

Welcome NBi30 aka Neil fro the otherside of England.

Who do you support?

Sunderland, Newcastle, Hull or a proper team like Everton

I guess that the red on the grill is an eco badge

Cheers for the welcome so far.

The red bit on the grill is the previous owners attempt to add a sporty edge. It is a red 16v badge, it looks ok surprisingly, and is still on at the moment - not sure it will stay though.

Eye30 - I'm not a footy fan Im afraid but my wife's family are And they all follow Man City, something which my son has adopted.
