I had my car serviced today - the 105k one at the same place I went to last time, Midland AutoPlus.
It cost $178 (genuine parts used), with me supplying my own oil and the only thing they found was the coolant level was just slightly down. Not much, but just a bit.
They pressure-tested the cooling system and found no leaks or problems but it's something I'll have to keep an eye on as I don't know what would cause that.

Maybe it was just a temperature thing ..was it a hotter or colder day than usual?

Well if it's not leaking anywhere, the only other way out is through the exhaust. At 105ks would it be worth having the head bolts re-torqued. A stitch in time saves nine!

It's normal for the level to vary over time, otherwise they wouldn't have a "full" mark and an "add" mark on the coolant bottle.

So unless it needs topping up regularly, I wouldn't be losing too much sleep over it....

OK, thanks for the replies.
I figured that as it seemed to worry the mechanics enough to mention it, it might be an issue.
It was a cool day Dazz.
I've never had to top it up though and the temp gauge has never moved from normal even on the hottest days.

My tank was at the full mark and over the last 12 months dropped to half way bewteeen full and min.

It stayed at the halfway point for some 9 months.

Been topped up at last service and told OK for the winter but I'll be doing my own check on the anti freeze soon as I've got a hydrometer and as long as it does not go below min I'm not concerned.

Yes, if it took that long for any variation to occur, it is possible that the water component  evaporates from the breather tube in the expansion container. The fluid can get quite warm after engine off. At the levels you mentioned, you don't have a problem IMO.
