The new i40 sedan is finally on the H/A website with all the specs  :happydance:

http://www.hyundai.com.au/vehicles/i40-sedan

Appears to be Elite & Premium only in the sedan with no Active and no manuals.

When you click on pricing it only gives the Touring pricing / Deals ...

I was really hoping they would have at least one manual (I don't like the fact that the Auto is so much thirstier)

on the plus side I enjoy the Hybrid and that is essentially an Auto (CVT) and the overall rating for the i40 Auto sedan is 6.0...(same as my Hybrid)

and.. the EcoCar of the year review reckons the Manual i40 Tourer is a bit clunky and so they prefer the auto... :undecided:

Edit: No i40 sedans on Carsales.com yet.... :Pout:

An educated guess is that the Sedan will range from around $37k to $43k + ORC so it would either be a manual Active tourer for us or a new Camry Hybrid I reckon  :whistler:

Still thinking of stuff  The website for the i40 has (Elite & Premium models only next to some features) so my guess is they will introduce an active version later... :goodjob:

They have done well with the economy given the extra weight it has on the I30.

Given the wagon I30 was sold at a premium to the hatch. Will be interested to see the price.

A bit more detail here about which models get which features .. I wish the Elite came as a Manual  :blubber:

Prices seem a bit sus to me, I can't see too many people who will be happy to know that the auto is 2k on the pov packs, but 2.6k on the upper models.

You are miss-reading it M8..

The upper models are only in Auto the 2.6K premium is for the diesel engine as per the carsales/caradvice reports

Those prices you've quoted Dazz fit in with what my dealer told me a few weeks ago.
He said the i40 Active Crdi manual was available at $32590, same price as i30 Premium.
I wonder why it's not on the H/A website though?

They have done this before (with the i45 for example) .. They usually make more out of the higher models and they make a better impression in the the showroom.. It was an availability thing with the i45 I think but that wasn't offered in active to start with either...
