Won Wow! they are impressive profit figures

Interesting spin on the new "Hyundai"

I assume it is basically Misha's car. They have made it look a bit sleeker than it is  :whistler:

Very interesting.  I'd like to see the new Kia in the flesh but I guess they'll be petrol only.

I can't work this out, the Cerato has always been a sort of people carrier in the past, if they decide to make it like the i30 how does the C'eed fit in??

If the C'eed and Cerato are the same car then they will hurt sales of each other.

Mishas C'eed is the same car as the i30, so I don't get it :undecided:

Hyundai should think of renewing its bestseller (in Russia, at least) - Hyundai Getz, no doubt.

The i20 was the replacement for the Getz over here and is selling ok now they have got the pricing right (think supply might still be an issue though) With the larger Accent starting at $16,990 drive away some are upgrading to the next level...

I think they might just use the Cerato name for the Ceed in Australia because it has started to get a reasonable reputation over here (and we have never had the Ceed)

My mates Kia Cerato is much quieter internally than our I30's, drove in it last Froiday, it was quite noticeable  :(

The sedan version was a bit of a looker until the new Elantra trumped it and the petrol motor has impressive power figure but produces a very ordinary drive compared with the i30 Diesel  :Pout:

Yep, his is a manual and has had 1 clutch replacement. He says it is difficult to get used to the clutch, his biggest complaint. The VVT engine goes very well, but I like the diesel better  :D

Why is Kia allergic to diesels?

I would think that the Cerato with a diesel engine would sell the house down at those prices.....

I don't really know, but I'm guessing it is because Hyundai own 51% of Kia, which is why Kia only get the second go at the R&D and I presume that Hyundai is keeping the diesel car market to itself.

They must have a diesel elsewhere. You can pick up a Kia diesel filter for the I30 cheaper than the Hyundai one (but not earth shatteringly so).

The Kia Soul in Oz has the same Diesel motor as the i30 CRDi and Accent  :winker:
