A parking space in a Cornish seaside resort could sell for £55,000 - more than twice the county's average salary.

The offer for the space in St Ives, where parking spots are at a premium, is being handled by Miller & Son.

Estate agents say there are so few places to park in the resort that people are prepared to pay large amounts for a town centre spot.

One said that as soon as a parking space went on the market it was usually a "dog fight" to buy it

Would that include 24 hour monitoring and a two away service for unauthorised users

You would be really peeved if you paid that and then went to use it and it was occupied

Corporations and government departments regularly pay $20-30,000 per year for parking spaces in the central CBD.
They're a pretty good investment to have.

When one talks about St Ives people connect wealth to the area

Typical of many issues in UK people with loads of money will pay £50k for a parking space!

Then when one travels to any big city in England many people are homeless and sleep on the streets…

Some bike riders do it from time to time over here but not that often as it would attract a fine, but it would have to reduce traffic congestion and providing it doesn't impede pedestrians I don't see what the issue is.  :goodjob2:

Every few years some clown (that needs to be seen to be doing something) kicks up about it but, touch wood they've been ineffective in having it stopped.
