As far as I know, distance has nothing to do with warranty, it's 5 years unlimited distance in Australia. However, you do have extreme temperatures over there and wiper blades may be considered a consumable item. Looks like the blade froze to the window.  :(

Thats funny because my car is 5 years old and I am still using the stock rear wiper blade that came with the car?  I just use a damp cloth and clean the wiper blade every so often that gunk gets stuck on it and it is just like brand new . But it could be the extreme temperatures which is causing yours to crack so easily

The rear wiper blade on my i30 is staring to loom like that. Not as bad as yours, though.

It's been on the car for the 50.000 km I've had the car, so don't know how old it is.

When I worked at VW/Skoda there was also a km limit on wiper blades, so nothing unusual about that.

I think the winters we have with frost and salt on the roads and the cars, make it a hard life to be a rear window wiper blade.

I replaced the rear wiper on ours about a month ago.
Bought an original Hyundai for about $30 or so, because I could not find replacements in the local auto parts store.
Wasn't covered under warrantee, only 24000 kms on the car.
Parts guy in Hyundai told me you can buy just the rubbers at CT, and I did see those.
Guess now I know, I will go that route next time, for around $9.

Dont think Hyundai make the wiper blades, just buy them in. Not great I know, but here in the mild weather UK where temperatures never vary much between 0deg &25deg (lol) my full set of wiper blades are still fine at 5 years old and 37,000 miles (not Kms)

From some of the pictures you've postsed of your car and some of the real crappy conditions you drive in it would not have surprised me if you'd said you'd done two or three rear wipers.

I've done just a little over 60,000k's in both of ours, one is good one is showing a little wear, our old wagon I used to do at least one a year, but 95% of the driving of this was on gravel,so my theory is the worse the conditions the quicker they go if your using them all the time

Well, those wipper blade's are not covered under warranty on any car, as they are like tire's ( tyres au ) they are a normal wear item. i would not think Toyota will last any longer as we had new toyotas in the fleet at work & the blades did not last that long from new ( did not get much love eather ) @ my 30,000k service replaced wipper blades on front with after market seemed better too, but the rear still on. car alwas garaged if that helps blades?
