Good spot.

On Some i30 (GD) vehicles fitted with a manual transaxle, after applying the parking brake it may not fully release after releasing it. This is due to corrosion where water is entering into rear caliper.

just received a letter through post today about this recall and it seems my car is affected 
its due for its 1st service next month so I'll get it done then.

tbh, ive not had any problems with the park brake so hopefully all is well


I wonder if this has anything to do with that lady who parked on a slope and the car automatically rolled into her hedge

Did you check to see if your vin is in the range

yes it is unfortunately, well as long as they have made aware of the problem and fixing it then its fine I guess
