like most battlers,not getting the pay CEO's,managers,politicians and some higher public servants,we live from week to week and it is a matter of prioritising,to me his Kids came first,but theoretically he shouldn't have been driving his car either but sometimes to earn money you have to drive,I personally would be stuffed without being able to drive,as their is No work where I live,I am not in the position to be able to afford to move where the work is so I have to travel to where I can get employment.

Kudo's to this officer,he could have been like many and just given the guy a ticket he could not have afforded to pay,putting this family into even worse financial hardship

They already are,even putting minors in Adult prisons over here because the deranged little retrebates burnt their own facility,because they know no one can touch them,we no longer have prisons,they are secure resorts,the tenants are only allowed in not out.

Don't  get me started on own over administrated,public system,so many managers and supervisors and so few actual workers.

You are all thinking like Australians, check your rego papers, very little of it goes to "registration" but most to "insurance/stamp duty/etc."  So $100 for two cars "registration" in the USA is probably right.

Also, cars like his are cheap over there.  Insurance, etc isn't.
