Hi everyone I just wanted to share with you what I did today!

First thing is not that exciting but I replace my wiper blades with tridon flexiblades. They are supposedly better than the older style, I don't notice a whole lot difference performance wise but they do last a whole lot longer and I think they look nicer.

And secondly I installed some gas struts I bought off ebay, took less than 10mins to install and was super easy and work fantastic. Anyone who is thinking of doing this install I would highly recommend it, if you are like me and check your engine every 2nd day then they will pay off. Here are some pictures..

I've been using the trident flex blades for about a year. Very expensive, they work well but I'm on my third set as they don't seem to last long.

Yes they are pricey, however I can change just the rubber part in the tridon ones with a standard refill wiper it's a little tricky but it can be done.
One of the guys at work has the Bosch Aerotwin Blades  (same sort of design) and he swears by them, he has had them on his car for over 3 years and hasn't replaced them. It might be worth looking into I think I'll be getting them next time. You can get them ordered in from Supercheap Auto or any other auto store should be able to as well.

  • Sorry, but my karma just ran over your dogma.
Thanks for sharing, Jesse.  :Agoodjob:

I couldn't agree more regarding the bonnet struts. Inexpensive, easy to install and very effective.

These were one of Lubricious' first mods. She just loves them.

I took mine off because they wouldn't open the bonnet without help.

Turned out one of the hinges was dry and nearly seized. The struts hid that from me. I left them off. I only open the bonnet a few times a year to change the oil and clean under there when I do a full detail.

Don't miss them at all.
