I've found this offer on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4x-Car-H7-Halogen-Headlight-Lighting-Light-Bulb

it includes four 55W H7 light bulbs for 8.99$ including shipping!
I was wondering if it worth something? are they going to burn in 1-2 months? does anybody know how much should a decent H7 bulb cost?
Where should I order from?

thanks,
Alon.

Personally, I'd stay away from these. My understanding is that (1) It is IMPOSSIBLE to emit more light through any colored glass than it is through clear glass, so why go for blue tint! (2) Fog lights are traditionally yellow in color. Why not blue? because blue light is actually harder to see at night.

If you're trying to improve night vision, you have to go for HID lights, but these are expensive.

My advice is to look for the best Philips brand lights you can get, they are brand  name reliable.  :)

I am not trying to improve the main headlight, just to buy spare for when they burn...
I didn't really pay attention to the blue color, does it really matter? the light color will be blue instead of white?

I don't want to spend to much money on it but also, I don't want to replace a bulb every 2 months...

can anybody point me to where to buy and what exactly?

Well that eBayer only ships to the USA, so forget ordering from them.

How did you come to that conclusion, Steve?

It says "Ships Worldwide"  :winker:

And shipping is free to Oz & the UK....  :p

Why would you want spare bulbs anyhow? I don't know the age of your car but in my experience, I've never had to replace a headlight bulb on any car, they do last a long time. If one blows, take it to Hyundai and get them to fit an original. While you're there, why not get radiator hoses (in case they split), flexible hoses in all shapes and sizes for the engine (in case one breaks), a full set of rear lamps (these tend to blow quicker) etc....

One of the few faults of the i30 (crdi) is that they chew through headlight globes...... :winker:

Seems to vary, some have had them last for years, others only a matter of weeks..... :undecided:

...and recently we started to think that by having them switched off when starting your CRDi might be a way of prelonging the bulb life... :goodjob:

By the way, do you all drive with your lights on 24/7 ? It's hard to do the comparison if some are driving with lights "on" only at night and others have them on 24/7.

And I've also heard that we should just take the car to the dealers and have them replace the bulb under (2 year) warranty - that came out from the mouth of the guy, who owns Hyundai service in Slovenia. Should be the same in other countries as well.

I just had both headlight bulbs replaced in the same month, once they are blown I don't have the time to look for the best deal on new ones so I want to be prepared for the next time...

that seller do ship to Israel (although it says USA only) but I guess, in that price, that the quality is very bad.

I am from Israel, I couldn't find where I can add this detail to my personal info...

I've still haven't got any answer regarding what & where to buy ;-)

Is this the same seller as the headlights etc?

Have you bought the HID kits from HIM before?

Are you related to him?  :whistler: :winker:

Hi Daz,

No No No, i don't feel offensed by your comments. As what i said to you, my english is limited with at a simple words.
There's 20 years old i haven't to speak english and yes, sometimes, not very understood the meaning of the sentence.
The twisted sense of humour is now for me a little bit complicated (so then write next to your sentence that's a joke  :))

What i explained, it's nothing to make a debate on Aliexpress, who's like this website is good for that and who's don't like this are the same, you make your opinions about it. Don't force anybody to visit it.
Do you understand now what i try to explain?
You know why, i think it will be good to have a chat box, no?

Peace and Love  :winker:

Closest we have to a chat box at the moment is PM  :goodjob:

We are a bunch of jokers on here and often forget that not all humour translates easily.

You certainly know how to find good bargains on the internet  :happydance:
