Reading back the thread I see you were in the tel's business that's my line of work too.
I work for a company called NG Bailey doing the Army sites in Scotland who did you work for.
My other car (well the wife's) is a ford focus mk3 1.6 petrol eco boost and she loves it.
Ford have made a nice wee engine there.

I used to work for Virgin Media, Moxey. I was there 22 years in various technical and staff roles.

And most definitely Yes, the Ecoboost is a very good unit, of course time will show us what the long term reliability is, let's take the Mazda RX8 lump for example, great engine initially, but time showed it needs mega TLC and even then it can be a baitch!
