Update:

Dita went in for her first service (1500km) last friday! Asked for a oil and filter change, also got them to install the scuff plates and footwell lights! Below are some pictures of the foot well lights, ill take some pictures of the scuff plates tomorrow in the sun.

The lights look a lot better in person btw, I was using the camera on my phone :P The lights behave with the dome lights, so they fade on when a door opens and fade off with dome lights.

You will have to put some clear plastic over those scuff plates.  You wouldn't want to scuff them!

I wish someone had suggested that for me.. The ones I have put on the hybrid have got a bit scratched and stuff...(they may polish up)  :undecided:

I changed the standard footwell white bulbs to red l.e.d's and fitted a red 22 l.e.d. strip between my glovebox lid and the dashboard.

Gives it a nice warm glow on entry that fades out smoothly when the ignition is on.

Matches the cup-holder lighting too!

I stopped worrying what others think about my choices when I was about 25 I think mate, I mean, if I was even slightly worried I'd say nothing but I like to share my work, especially with less adventurous or slightly more phobic folks  :whistler:
But actually a different model in the same range of cars come with what I fitted as standard, it's on a more expensive model though.
