Having 4 hard drives already in my computer and fast running out of space I decided to buy one of these to make use of the couple of 1TB drives I have gathering dust....  :)

It has it's own fan to extract any heat away from the drive and the LCD shows fan speed and drive temperature.
It's also lockable to prevent tampering.

It's very simple to install, simply requiring a 5.25" drive bay, a spare sata port and power cable.

To insert a drive you simply unlock the catch, swing the front panel to one side and place the drive into the tray. The hard drive is automatically located when the front panel is closed.  :goodjob:

And here it is installed....

I'd consider one or two of these if my Bios accepted a hot-plugged Sata drive.

Can you hot-plug a sata drive in yours? My mobo is 7 y/o with an antique bios - system freezes when I plug in a caddy drive :(

That's a bugger, Steve....  :(

In answer to your question...Yes! It was already enabled on my motherboard.
Apparently, if it wasn't, all I needed to do was to change the SATA Controller from IDE mode to AHCI mode....  :undecided:
