I have recently finished watching the final season of Breaking Bad.  I really enjoyed the series, and was sad that it ended.  I was even watching the time saying to myself, "I only have 20 minutes of Breaking Bad left."  For those that haven't seen it, or are unaware of it, it is basically a story about a High School chemistry teacher that is diagnosed with lung cancer, but his health insurance doesn't cover it, so he turns to "cooking meth" to provide for his family.  An excellent performance by Bryan Cranston as Walter White (Heisenberg).

Now to find another show to watch in my standby time (I have to remain close to work or my accommodation).

Overlooking Timber Creek for 30 days of Exercise Pitch Black 06 I digested all 9 seasons of Roswell - not my choice but it was something. How about the full set of Star Trek series? TOS, NG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise.

If you (and Wiki) say it is good then I believe you.. I am amazed though, that in this time of Political Correctness that a show like that can not only be aired but be so highly acclaimed..

It's success may be in part a sentiment against PC.

I watched Season 1, Episode 1 of that series (Breaking Bad) last year but didn't watch any further, as I didn't like seeing images of a chemistry teacher standing besides a mobile caravan wearing just his underpants  :sicky: :kissmyass:  :juststopthere:

I've started watching "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" at the moment as well.  Very informative.

I also have "Game of Thrones" to watch at home.  I'm currently on Season 3 of that one.

Having read all the Game of Thrones books, I know who dies, when and how.
Sort of takes the fun out of it. Besides it's on a channel we don't subscribe to and I'm not into downloading.

I'm reading book two at the moment. Great read and I can picture the characters. I do like reading, and my Kindle means I have 600 books in something that ways the same as a magazine. Great for travelling.

My Nexus 7 makes a great e-book reader...so good in fact that I've confined my Sony e-book reader to the cupboard.  :D

I went from breaking bad to GOT. It was a bit confronting for the wife early (there is a fair bit of nudity) but once she saw that there was more to it, she enjoyed it too.

Revenge isn't too bad, and a bloke at work that put me onto Breaking Bad and GOT also swears by Sons of Anarchy.

Vikings.  I did't see anywhere near the whole of the first series and I have avoided the 2nd series.  It's too violent and I am  a peace-loving man.

The West Wing (on old, but excellent show), Newsroom.
Futurama, Silicon Valley (not bad if you're into computer geek culture), Elementary (a great modern take on Sherlock). Castle.

West Wing was good. I saw it back in the day.
Futurama is always good for a laugh and I agree with your assessment of Elementary.
A lot of good stuff comes out of the UK.
Robin Hood and Merlin (both, like Elementary, with an innovative approach to the subjects).
Spooks
Silk
Law & Order UK

And some of their other crime shows like Inspector George Gently, Vera, Lewis, Endeavour and Inspector Lynley.

Not so enamoured of the US stuff but as mentioned above I enjoy The Good Wife (although I can see a day coming when I'll just have had enough). Also enjoy NCIS LA and Hawaii Five-0 for a bit of mindless shootemup action.
NCIS (the original) is by far the most enjoyable show on television IMHO.
