 Blundering council workmen have been slammed for marking a car parking bay around a lamppost.

The space, on a new housing development in Crawley, West Sussex, has bemused locals because it is so awkward no car would ever be able to fit inside.

One said: “It’s painted right outside a marketing suite which is helping sell the new builds so it isn’t giving out a great impression.

“Maybe the light went out in the painter’s head when he was doing the spaces.”

Another added: “Unless that lamppost is retractable, that parking space is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.”

Are all you council or main roads workers,who paint these parking bays simpletons,the other day it was a painted parking bay in front of some old ladies driveway

there is a shop near where I live cant get in or out cos a lamppost was installed in the doorway ;got a picture somewhere ,everyone has a lump on the forehead who forget and go out of the wrong door ;
