.234% not a bad drink..... She must have done a good job to defeat the various electronic devices to keep you on 4 wheels.

I always amazes me why people think they can still drive once they have had a few drinks,Idiots, absolutely no sympathy for her,the big plus is she didn't hurt anyone else and the bigger plus she is now out of a car as her insurance company will wipe her for this one.got what you deserved woman

C'mon Rick, I'm sure you did it more than once, if not in a car, then on your motorcycle...if anyone would know, surely you would...  :winker:

On the plus side, she won't have a licence so won't notice the lack of a car.....I'm a glass half full kinda guy.....

I hope it wasn't a hire car.....Otherwise the hire company is out of luck....

I wondered if it was a hire car, too. The story said she was from NSW.
Interesting point that. I wonder if hire car companies insurance would cover everything - maybe higher premiums but at least they'd be covered.

I agree Rick.
I can honestly say I have never driven under the influence so I have no sympathy for those who do and get caught out.
But I will say that I HAVE broken the law in other ways. However, I never blame anyone but myself if I get caught. Cop it on the chin and get on with life.

Yes I learnt from my mistakes Rusty, hence the reason I'm so hard on people that continue to do it,there is so much education and information not only scientific and from people with first hand experience(like myself) there is absolutely no need for educated people to continue doing it,putting themselves and others at risk.
Also why I am so anti extraordinary licences over here,If you string a combination of small minor offences together, you loose your licence on points and you are unable to get an EL,but if you continually go out get pissed and continue to drive, you can get an EL,little stupid in my book as these people intentionally go out and drink drive WITHOUT any thought for themselves, their families(if something goes wrong and eventually IT WILL)or any other road users.no still no sympathy for her.

In answer to your question,Yes I did it many times, both in a car and on a motorcycle,I should of been in Jail more often than I was,I like the people today should have learnt sooner,it wasn't until,I damned near killed five of my friends that I seen the light, that single point in time changed my life thankfully.

At .234 she might want to start the rest of her life in rehab.

I suspect all those fees we pay to drop the stupidly high excess are there for just this situation....

Unfortunately beerman, rehab only works when the person with the problem asks for help,if they are forced or ordered into it,Rehab NEVER works, believe me I Know.

It's definitely NOT an i30.
Only has 4 stud wheels. Might be an i20 or an Accent but it's hard to tell from the pic.
