just wanted to know if it is possible to install the oem nav system from a elite i30 to a active i30??

it looks like the oem nav will fit but the heater gauges looks like it won't match up with the bottom of the radio ....?

would anyone know if they use the same wiring loom for the elite on the active i30.

wanting to know if i can change the heater controllers to the climate controls and install the oem nav system and it all plugs into the wiring loom and works??

Personally, I wouldn't go down that path. The oem nav system is not the best available system. Map updates are not free and some members are critical about the benefits, cost and operation of the system. What are you expecting to pay to achieve your result

Apparently, there is a better aftermarket option.

Good question, I wouldn't mind the climate control system myself but I prefer the aftermarket windshield navigators like Garmin because of the lifetime updates included.

See here :link: Aftermarket GPS for 2014 i30 this member just installed a third party Head unit that does everything, map updates are still only for two years though then your up for big dollars for every update thereafter.

What got me over the line first was I didn't have to search... I knew exactly where that topic was :victory:

Yeah I don't mind helping when I can, it's a friendly and helpful bunch here so is good to give back where possible, moderating the other forum is slow this morning as well so more attention is placed here at the moment.

Yes Phil.
There IS life outside the i30 Forum.
My surfing forum.  :P
Or as my wife would say, "There IS life outside the computer"
PS Surfed (actually surfed) this morning for two hours. Best in ages. Long rides, long paddles back = sore shoulders and sore calf and thigh muscles.

Life is good.  :goodjob:

Enjoy,  :goodjob2:

I like that little spot where you walk to have your coffee, overlooking water.
