Are they actually water or Sweat stains,if they are the latter, they are difficult to get rid of,I had very limited success with a commercial upholstery cleaner. Whatever you do,do a test patch somewhere it is not easily seen.

If you can get the stains out I would suggest using Scotchguard when they are completely dry. It might make future cleaning easier.

I am not a big fan of Scotchguard. I would clean them and then put seat covers on.

I would check out online what upholstery cleaning products your local car accessory place carries then google for reviews maybe  :victory:

It is definitely water,  some from rain,  some from getting in after swimming, I have tried to protect them,  I will have to get seat covers,  funds are a bit tight at the moment.

Rome wasn't built in a day.. you can pick up some quite nice inexpensive seat covers on special at times (or from ebay) :goodjob:

A cheap hand held steam cleaner does wonders.

Put a cloth over the flat head and you can get them looking great

Just be careful not to cook the foam under the cloth, with steam.

Nah it's perfectly fine.

I habe steam cleaned mine a couple of times now.

This weekend I cleaned the with a meguairs foaming product and managed to get most of the stubborn brown marks out of the seats.

I had cloth seats in my Hyundai Excel and they never required this sort of attention!
