Tattoos are one thing but forking tongues - implants - sharpening teeth - eye dying ( that a new one  ) and those ugly huge rings they stick in the ears now with studs implanted all over their faces is getting insane imo

I'm cool with tattoos, got a few. But anything like that is just plain crazy.

I'm old school - to me tattoos (and more so other body mutilation) are a sign of insecurity or lack of confidence.

I don't agree with you there Gonz, many reasons people get tatts, some could be as you say but many others just like the art and some may also do it for spiritual or tribal reasons as that is where tattooing traditionally comes from.

I'll admit though that the whole tattooing fad is getting quite out of hand, I have a few myself going back 30 years related with my martial arts history but they're personal and not something I go around displaying like a lot of them do now.

I'm even older school than gonz. I was dismayed when one of my granddaughters turned up with a butterfly on the side of her neck.

I am more discreet - I have willy tattooed on my willy - but it actually says "welcome to Solihull have a nice day".

Alan how much did the tattoo artist charge to hold you willy while he or she scratched out the tattoo

I have five "tough stickers" which can only be seen if I choose to show people. My favourite (which I wish I didn't have) is the breast cancer ribbon with my mother's name on my chest.

I do like tattoos though, but it is an individual's choice.

I'm ok with a discreet tattoo that can be hidden with clothing , but not too keen on big obvious ones. Don't think I'll ever bother...

My guess is lots of people will regret getting them when they get older... It's their body but those ear stretchers and nose rings and stuff really deface an attractive person!  :fum:

Tattoos may be alright  on people who are young with nice firm stretch skin, but the trouble comes 40 yrs down the track where they become faded , wrinkly and don't suit the personality of the wearer anymore....the worst ones are those that cover all the skin and the colors blend into each other that you can't make out what has been tattoo......

Had most of mine well over 40 years, yes a little fade an a couple  have scare lines through them from Knife wounds, but they still look OK,Like it has been said all personal choice,I could look at someone's Tats for age, don't like some peoples art choice, but still like checking them out,but like Daz said, you should be able to cover them under certain circumstances,if I had the money I be covered in em

Personally I don't particularly like tattoos but I understand that there are many reasons for getting them.
Plus, I do quite like dirty, dirty girls with tats.    (Did I really say that?   :undecided:)

Sorry guys, i meant the piercings and other s&%t. No offence meant, except towards the utter brain damaged idiots that think that doing that to themselves is an improvement (with maybe 1or2 exceptions)
