Hi all, well a friend of mine got a new car that came with reversing camera,when you put it in reverse the pannel in center of dash turns into a monitor, and it's really easy to see how close you are to things and what is behind you.
i would love one in the i30. can you get them?

A couple of the Korean pics show rearcams fitted. Pretty sure you can get wireless cams.

Is that friend of yours a girl by any chance? As I see it only a girl would want/need one

Hi John... You can get wireless reversing cameras from Autobarn and Supercheap for between $200 & $300 depending on the model at that price you only get a 3.5" screen usually (Autobarn seems to have them in their catalogues more than Supercheap)

My mates wife has just bought a Qashqai and that has one as standard.

My satnav came with a reversing camera (Binatone T430). I think it is discontinued but I'm sure there are other similar models out there.

Toyota have them as standard on some models

Also Nissan do them.

I think the Sat Nav with an integrated wireless reversing camera are a brilliant idea..

I would have got one of those if I had realised they were available when I got my Mio...

Hey Shambles, no its a bloke m8, too many small children get killed when cars reverse here so they class it as saftly. you can't see what is right behind the i30 i think it has poor rear view. i'm used to useing side mirrors to reverse but after seeing just how good this system that came stock from factory on a turbo 6 territory i liked it. at first i thought it would be hard to judge with but was not the case. tail gating is illegal here too.

that sounds good Dazz, i think one in the pop up dashtop compartment would be good, i don't like touching things with my rear bumper i always give the rear a lot of clearance as no sensore they are useless to me, my friend had a rear tow bar and the camera showed it up clear and i put that territory into a really tight parking space with out touching the car behind it, was easy.
