I have a few drips of oil under my car this morning under the Front part of engine in the centre. I took it to local garage and they have said it looks like a  seal may be leaking. I need to take it to a Hyundai dealer. Is this covered by warranty?

Not sure but think not.

However, it may be associated with a failure of part.

Yes more info needed, I guess if it is within the warranty period and the cause is not due to unauthorised meddling, then it would be a warranty job I'd imagine.

If the car is less than five years old,I would say it is a warranty job,but don't hold your breath waiting for an answer from Hyundai,I've been waiting a week and a half for them to get back to me about one of our cars,on a different issue

With seeing a few drips of oil under my car myself on the garage floor,i took the photo's above, i wiped the oil onto my fingers & not sure if it's engine or gearbox oil, the car is less than a year old, the red paint is what the factory must of painted on as a problem area as everything else is marked with yellow paint.

This thread seems to have been left in suspense. May I say I had the same problem with my 1.4 i30, 1 year old with 20k on the clock.
I noticed drips of oil on the garage floor and assumed  the garage had not fully tightened the plug or filter when servicing. So I took the car back and expected the problem to be fixed in minutes. However it turned out that the input shaft seal was leaking which in turn had contaminated the clutch. They had to remove the transmission to find the source of the leak and it then took a week to get the parts from Hyundai.

I had a seal done in the wagon's auto at 121,000k and 4.5 years, so I would think so.
