It's my first post on here so I thought I would start off by saying hello in this section! I'm just waiting delivery on a new Hyundai I30 Tourer SE 1.6 CRDI Blue Drive which should be arriving in late October / early November. It's my first ever new car so I can't wait to get it! My current car is a 2004 VW Passat 130 Tdi which has now covered 248k miles and I've owned for the last 7 1/2 years, it has been the best car I've owned so far but I've got high hopes for the Hyundai!

Thanks guys! I had a test drive of the hatchback equivalent model a couple of weeks back and absolutely loved it, I used to work for a Hyundai dealership until 8 years ago when I had a change of career so I already knew they were good cars but I couldn't believe how much they have advanced in terms of quality and driveability. We bought an ex demonstrator I10 for my wife 3 years ago and that has been a fantastic car with no problems whatsoever.

Hi Petek

 :wttc:

Well, I worked at a VW dealer until about 8 years ago  :P  That 130 TDI is a nice machine, but you'll find the Hyundai CRDi a lot more quiet...  :victory:

It has been a fantastic car and I will be sad to see it go. I bought it when it was 3 years old with 96k miles. Apart from the usual service items the only things I've had to replace mechanically have been a couple of engine sensors and the injector wiring loom. The turbo, clutch, suspension and even the battery are all original and it still drives nice and smooth. I agree the CRDI is quieter and the car feels a lot lighter and more modern to drive. Even though it should be smaller than the Passat it feels just as spacious inside and the boot space is huge. Smaller cars seem to be getting bigger and bigger these days!

Well, the Passat 3B is 174 cm wide, the i30 is 178 cm....  :whistler: Well done by the old Passat by the way..  :goodjob2:

What colour will your new i30 be?

It was a tough decision but I went for pepper grey metallic in the end. Thanks again for the warm welcome  :D
