Thx snowcherry.

I still need some help guys n girls.

The headunit has no RCA(Output).

The only way i can think of is to made my own output by cutting the rear speakers line and splitting it. So that i can run a RCA to the amp. but i dont ready want to cut anything

has anybody else done this or reckon there is a better way to do it.

cheer karhung

not easy but dissassemble the head unit and take signal taps of the poweramp chip inputs.

Definatly not for the feint harted + wave buy buy to warranty but is possible with the right know how.

To be honest im happy to say the head unit sounds just as good if not better than my £400 5 year old kenwood head unit in my old corolla so I wouldnt bother :D

www.hmaservice.com has the audio wiring diagrams.

You need to look under "ELANTRA TOURING(FD) >2009 > G 2.0 DOHC > Audio > Schematic Diagrams" in ETM (electronic Tech Manuals) section.

There are 4 or 5 disagrams, I presume they are the same/similar for the i30.

Like this one, if the link works:

yea. The unit is great and not planning to change it anytime soon. just want better sound quality and base.
with warranty im not too worry because it only wave the audio system and i want a touch nav, so i guess it will give me a excuse to get one if it does break(Touch wood it doesn't). :D So till now a going to add a sub and amp.

thanks for the feedback.
