I've 2010 i30 Crdi and once or twice a year the remote won't unlock the car and it always in my driveway. Then i have to unlock it with the key and of course the alarm goes off and being a bus driver it's very early in the morning, any ideas?

:welcumwagon: Could there be any electronic transmitters near your house? Radio station, Telephone tower, etc.. these can interfere with the remote signal.

I had this exact problem with my FD. Always in my driveway.

Dealer went out of their way and even replaced the Body Control module. Unfortunately didn't fix it. Eventually after more testing I noticed if I drove my car 200m down the street it went away then back to my driveway it recurred.

The problem has gone away now. I do live about 200m from a mobile phone tower in the opposite direction. In retrospect it may have been around the time when 4G was being tested or switched on.

As has been said, it will be interference from somewhere, I had the same problem outside a restaurant and when one of the waiters saw me struggling he rushed out and said it was their WIFI and many peeps had had the same problem parked in that space.

good luck
