New I30 owner, Brisbane.

Hey guys!

I'm Jack, looking forward to meeting everyone and learning as much as I can about Hyundai's!

Just this week I acquired my first ever new car, a 2016 GD4 I30 Active X, auto variant in White. Only early days yet but absolutely stoked with the car so far!

Prior to the I30 I owned a 700 rwhp FG XR6 Turbo, so a bit of a drop on the performance side of things but really enjoying the luxuries of a new car!

I'll primarily be looking into little cosmetic modifications such as led lighting ect and good maintenance practises.

Congrats on the new wheels. You didn't mention diesel, so assume you got the petrol?

Oops yeah forgot to mention, yep that's right, petrol variety. I've read that primarily shorter city driving can be detrimental for diesels so opted for old faithful 98'.

Short trips in diesel not so much of an issue in Australia. We don't get a DPF (diesel particulate filter) in our i30s. But if you are mainly doing short urban trips you wouldn't get the benefit of the diesel so much.
