There are owners whose classic cars are kept wrapped in cotton wool, only to surface on rare occasions - and then there are those who drive their pride and joy hundreds of miles to race round Le Mans.
The French racetrack is famous for its annual 24 hour race, but every two years it runs the Le Mans Classic, where historic cars – some of which are worth hundreds of thousands of pounds – also race through the night.
And just like the 24 Hour, the Le Mans Classic draws a pilgrimage of Britons over the Channel to drive down through Northern France and soak up a weekend’s racing, many of them in their own classic and exotic cars.
