Surf is pretty ordinary ATM so been walking a bit.
One of my favourites is along the Coastal Pathway from Moffat Beach to Kings Beach/ Happy Valley.
Good views of the ocean and the devil onshore wind which is ruining what would otherwise be good surf at least helps keep me (relatively) cool.
Shelley Beach is a hidden gem on the eastern edge of Caloundra and one section passes through a stand of cotton trees which, when kept trimmed are pretty spectacular but when allowed to run wild, can be pretty scatty.
The pics show one section of about 50 metres or so and include a large scrub turkey nest plus a couple of overlarge pandanus trees. Or "penis" trees as some of my daughter's workmates christened them when she was working in England a few years ago.
The flowers are some sort of bulb growing wild further along the walkway.
