The last time I though I had left the window open, but this time I could trace the water path on the rubber floor math.

Whenever it rains, the passenger side floor gets wet, and it even spills to the back seat floor as well.  Today, most of the water stayed on the rubber mat, so I could throw it out. The water seems to be dripping from somewhere below the glove compartment,  there is an electric motor there and some parts of it were wet.  I guess this motor is a part of heating/air conditioning, but still makes no sense that water is there.  I have no sunroof.

Is there any solution to this, other than putting a bucket in the right spot whenever it is raining?

This type of leak can be associated with the piping for heater, but in your case being it is related to wet weather I suspect some drain is blocked below the windscreen where the wipers park. Debris from parking under trees and stuff can build up and block drainage from that area. I'd be inspecting where the black plastic liner meets the guards for any blockage. If the water builds up in that channel, I suspect it could trickle down through the vents.

If it's only when it rains and given it's the side you talk about I would remove the wiper arms and then the plastic cover that sits over the plenum. It may be that there is a build up of debris and water is not clearing, somehow entering the plenum where the air is drawn in by the HVAC system.

I'm using this purely as an example as I can't find an exact image for the car, sure you can work it out.

But under the plastic cowling water runs in there and then teh air intake will somehow be isolated in a way so air can enter without all the water. All I can thinkof is some kind of blockage and water is backing up in there . worth a look

Right side leak hints that tw is correct. When you park near a kerb, that side is lower/water banks up higher.

There was indeed some dirt below the plastic, perhaps half a handful, on both sides, and the right side (passengers) looked clogged.  Too bad I didn't spill some water on it before removing it to see what would happen, and now water drains easily to the ground.   I guess I'll have to wait for some rain to see if it actually fixed the leak.

Thanks for the help, the steps were quite easy to do.

I'd be confident especially since you actually found something :goodjob2:

If only you had some images,  :blubber:

After a rainy day yesterday, there was no water inside, seems that this solved the leak.   Hyundai needs to step up its mud collection and water leakage game.

Good to hear. The design of these channels and so forth would be pretty generic throughout the car industry. It hasn't been a commonly reported item on here. I therefore assume your car has at some stage been parked under trees or something which have dropped a lot of debris, which would have probably caused a similar issue with most other brands.

Same thing happens with roof gutters. One of my properties has gum trees nearby and leaving the cleaning for any more than 6 months means I'm pulling weeds and handfuls of mud out of the gutter before it spills into the roof eave.
