New to the forum (located in TRNC)

Thanks for all the welcome messages - and apologies i should have said Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus - yes we are a divided island and the north is governed by Turkey - but its still a beautiful place

TRNC means nothing to me over here.. :rolleyes: (don't know about other Aussies)

I was thinking along the lines of TR being initials for some city in North Carolina USA...

TRNC is not a regular topic of conversation in our house... :neutral:

I doubt many Europeans would know where

"Nowhere Else" is or "Paradise" or "Doo Town"... :mrgreen:

Nor here. I think most folk now refer to the Turkish partition as "Northern Cyprus". I just remember the olden days of TRNC and wonder why the Greek and Turkish nations just couldn't get along with each other wrt Cyprus. Shame, as they're all great folks to talk to...

I love Cyprus. Been 10 or more times, always stayed at the Amathus Beach hotel in Limasol  :D
