Warning, possible silly question ahead:

Ok, so the driver and passenger doors both have these red coloured covered for what seems like lights at the bottom of the doors... I've even seen white covers on e-bay as a 'mod'.

My question is, when -if EVER do these lights turn on? I've held my door open and tried running through the warning lights / day time / full lights and they never seem to light up? Are they really lights or just a reflector :|

Thank you <3

Mine are reflectors. There's a thread on here I think where they've been converted to illuminate. If I find it I'll link to it

They are always reflectors as they come from the factory. Some of the aftermarket bling companies have slimline SMD leds in the right shape as well as clear lenses.

Wow, thanks a lot Bumpkin. I had done a search for door lights but nothing seemed to come up. So OK, it saves me the embarassment of callin the dealership and asking how to turn the 'lights' on haha.

Thanks :) looks like a serious mod which I would not likely attempt at this early stage of ownership.
