I work right down the road from ManheimFowles www.manheimfowles.com.au/cms/locations/perth.phtml and it's getting nice and full with all things dented....

Just got my i30 back from "United Hail Repairs" and the same as our Getz, done a few weeks ago, it's perfect.

They perform miracles. All the dints (hundreds, probably thousands) with every panel affected, just gone without a trace.  You might think that's to be expected and yes it is but they did it all without retouching or respraying anything.

They use a combination of machine pressing and hand tapping each individual dint in what must be truly painstaking work.

Each car took 10 working days to complete. They need to strip the car to get access to the inside of each panel, tap, tap, tap then put all back together.

I'm not easily impressed... but wow. No overspray, no mismatched colour, just my paintwork back exactly as it was complete with original stone chips.

Good to hear the repairs went well for you.

Actually the hailstorm for me was a *godsend.  I had a commodore that wasn't worthy of a trade-in, nor was it worthy of making it roadworthy to sell privately either.  I was gonna drive it until it drove no more.
But because of the storm the car was written off and I got more than expected allowing me to get another car.

That's when I started taking real notice of all the different cars on the road........well the rest is history.

*This is no disrespect to those who lost their pride'n'joy or other personal possessions (even personal injury) from the hailstorm.

its great to hear your cars are fixed pip.    i had a look at the cars in that auction, i found 11 hatches and a cw. some of them look very unhappy.

I know insurance cover is to return the insured back to a position it was at before the incident took place but to not even touch these up .............. What a bummer
