Berlin police said Wednesday they impounded a clapped-out Latvian tour bus with 1.8 million kilometres (1.1 million miles) behind it -- enough to go to the Moon and back twice, and then back to Latvia.

Perhaps my maths is off, but 1.6 million miles in three years does seem a little excessive.  Did I misread the article?  I'm sure it says the car is a 1996 model and had done the miles up to 1999.  That's over 500,000 miles a year....probably about 100,000 miles a week.  Hmmmm, even in an i30 that would be a long way.

Well picked up Kittikat another article about the same car says it was/is a 1966 Volvo (which would be about right as it was the same model Roger Moore used to drive when he was young and played "the saint" and I was about 10 Y/O when mum and dad had one...)
