When I took my Jan 2009 i30 1.4 Comfort in for its 2nd service recently I took the opportunity to look at the latest i30 in the showroom.
Now when I bought my car it was the bottom of the range model but it still had a very high specification. When I looked at the new i30 1.4 Comfort (which is now the middle of the range model) I noticed it lacked some features that my older model has got..
For example,
Front armrest with storage compartment
Chrome interior door handles
Metallic finish on steering wheel and around gear lever
Full size spare wheel
It looks like you have to go to the top of the range Premium model to get the front armrest now

and the new bottom of the range Classic model doesn't come with a lot of features the previously bottom of the range Comfort had got.
Does anyone else think the latest i30 models are not quite as generously equipped as the original models or have they been improved in other areas which compensate?
