Hello,

Does anyone know how to stop the recirculation vent changing to "fresh" or "outside" air when ever the car is turned off?

My 2002 Elantra did this, and it would drive me friggin crazy..

I do understand why Hyundai thinks this is a good idea! There is no such thing as a perfect idea or plan. It's always two steps forward and one step back..

I have a 2011 i30 with Auto CC, and it has a mind of its own!! Yes I have already read the manual and tried to change the Auto climate control logic to "manual" however, only the change to automatic settings will do anything.. omfg.

Anyway can the CLIMATE CONTROL system be changed to not override my last setting I made?

I know with Stop Start systems, there is a modification people have made, that effectively pushes the button for you, and turns it off after it resets, after turning off the car.

Has anybody made a similar module that can stop the car changing to outside air, every time the ignition is turned off!

I know I am not the only one being annoyed by this.

Thanks 👍

Just for more information, I understand that having the air circulation switched to outside helps dry out the evaporator, and also helps prevent bacteeria growing on the evaporator, causing bad smells.

HOWEVER I would like to be in charge of the vehicle I am driving, I don't need Hyundai or any other vehicle manufacturer trying to Work out when outside air is required.. I want to be the judge of that. I want to be in control of my Air Conditioning!

P.s I HATE Automatic Climate Control Systems in vehicles!! Yes I also understand the car resetting to outside air, is not strictly apart of ACC.

Sorry for the rant, and thanks for reading or helping.
