Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. I recently moved to South Korea where I purchased a used 2012 Hyundai I30 GDI. It had an Android Head unit in it. A very old one. The system recently failed and I want to replace it. When I look on AliExpress, I see a lot of options. However, most options seem to say that if your car has the original navigation unit, then it would not be compatible. I was wondering if anyone on the forum had pictures of what the original navigation system looks like on a 2012 Hyundai I30. I want to say that whatever is in my car is not the original. Before it failed, I think it was running andoid 11. And there were apps on it that looked very unprofessional. So I can't imagine this was the factory unit. But before I buy something that is over $100, I wanted to gather as much information as I can. Here are some reasons I believe that this is not the original factory nav unit.
1. UI was not professional. Just a very standard old ersion of android.
2. There are two usb cables in my glove box that you are able to connect your phone to.
3. There was a mirror link app on it that would allow me to mirror my phone.
4. THere was some root software on it as well.
5. The bluetooth connection on my phone shows Klydekorea Allinone.
Other things to note is that this unit did work with the reverse camera that opens and closes behind the hyundai logo.
I can't imagine this being a factory unit. I would take a picture of it, but the screen is dead. If this is aftermaket, I imagine any of the ones on Alibaba should also work then. Can someone give me some advice?
