Anyone know what the compatibility is with Biodiesel or blends?  A servo near me (Gull) has blended biodiesel up to a max of 20% i think?  I remember reading somewhere  that 5% is the factory allowed max?

LuciferDarklord,

Others have posted before about biodiesel.  I can't remember one posting that has made reference to the information about biodiesel blends that is contained in the owners manual (Australian edition).  Some have even emailed Hyundai.  A close read of the relevant section reveals that it is an option, provided it meets the specifications listed in the manual.  Perhaps many at Hyundai have not read the manual either as the advice people received seemed a bit confusing and suggested the use of biodesel was not allowed and would negate warranty.

I read the information when I purchased the ouri30.  It was very specific and did not discount the use of biodiesel blends.  I have erased it from my long term memory as I do not have access at the moment to a biodiesel product and buggered if I am going out in the cold to refer to it now.  But I know where to find the information if I need to in the future.

Hi luciferdarklord,

That is one evil name you have. :?

Do you know what the price of that Bio deisel wa?  It would be interesting to see what savings are passed on to the consumer as the production costs for the bio should be a lot cheaper.

The 20% blend offered at Gull http://www.gullpetroleum.com.au/html/BioD/welcome.htm was 5c a litre cheaper than 'normal' diesel.  I havent looked for a few days, but it was $1.80/litre compared to $1.85/litre from memory.

And no, I'm a big softy - i would brake if a cat ran in front of me - but maybe not for some certain people we have a problem with here in W.A.  Hope that doesnt offend anyone, but i have good reason to feel that way!!
