Hi Lorian,Would the immobiliser still let the engine crank over?

I was proud of her.. (Trish that is) I was having a shave and she came up stairs and said "what have you done to my car" I said "why?" and she said "it won't start" .. and I said "did you put your foot on the clutch?"
It's ok I sleep with one eye open and my back to the wall

My 1.4 started on fourth attempt today after having been used a couple of times earlier in day. My better half said she had a couple of short journeys but when she came to start car to pick up the kids it would not start until the fourth time of cranking.Anyone had similar issues?
Hello Gibber of Leeds,If it plays up again check that there is a little yellow light in the shape of a car with a key in it just above the headlight mainbeam indicator, after you turn the ignition on. If there is no car with ket symbol then the transponder in the key is playing up. This has happened once or twice to people. Of course it could be a number of other things.Give her the other key if you want rule that out and dont want hassle.
