Hyundai is going from strength to strength in Australia (and world-wide for that matter)

In what was generally a poor month for car sales in Australia, Hyundai set more records in May 2011

The nuclear disaster in Japan has affected production by Japanese manufacturers, so these figures and those for the next few months could be questionable caused by lack of supply of popular Japanese models. As they say "it's an ill (nuclear) wind" :D

For some reason the i30 is extremely popular in WA (Not the first time it has been number 1 seller in WA) :goodjob: :mrgreen:

Steve's geography lesson aside  :P there is no doubt the earthquake and its flow on effects have reduced new car production. It's also meant Hyundai has jumped up the list in North America.
And yes, there will be a correction as production ramps back up.

But it's always difficult to make up lost ground completely so Hyundai is in a good position to hold on to at least some of its gains.
