Has anyone added Fog lamps to an SX (In Australia the SX comes without Fog Lamps).
I checked a car parts store today and they had fog lamps for only $32 but they were rectangular, so might not fit easily.

I can exist without mag wheels, but it gets very foggy near Launceston!

M8 buy a fog horn :)

m8 Check out the post i put up " I was starting to think" If you check that post out thumper has some good pic's of lights.
We have a late model Sonata here and it has the same lights as the SLX has just i would not call them fog lights & i would not think they would make much difference to me in a fog.
i suppose you could go to Hyundai and get the hardware to mount lights the same size, or even buy SLX lights from them and fit. if you go and buy after market lights the hard part will be making mounts to fit.
good luck

Thanks Lakes,
I didn't think they came as optional extras, I will try Hyundai first.
Also should ask if anyone has used their SLX Fog Lights and how good they are.

Checked with Hyundai
Fog Lights $125 each (they do not come with switches, they are just replacement ones for SLX).
Auto Electrician reckons $150 for fitting, including switch, so about $400 all up.

You can get cheap ones, but then spend a lot on making brackets etc, so at least the genuine ones will fit perfectly into the unusual shape, and be good quality.

That sounds like the best option could uprate to globes like Thumper has, but probably best to see how they work first or ask Dazz if he has used his in fog and if it worked.

Hi Guys,

Driven in fog a couple of times. As others have commented the standard fog lights aren't very bright but would make the car more visible to other cars and to pedestrians.
