well just got a job in barain leave mar 6 working on a very big dredge  83m long going to send the i30 to thailand were we will be living when not working 6 weeks on 6 off if i live in thailand i pay no tax :happydance:

Nice! But will your i30 be in the garage for 6 weeks at a time??? Or will someone be using it?

Sounds like a great life! you will also not have to worry about speed camera's or road rules. what part of Thailand will you live?

Wow thats a big Dredge, a friend of mine does same work, he was over WA, now up QLD works 6 weeks off 6 weeks, likes the money & the free time. sounds Great! good luck.

look like i will be selling the i30 its playing up again with it not starting like before  there is something wrong in side the engine it has a new fuel pump new injecters new glow plugs  and if you leave it over night it takes forever to start

I know it's a hassle, but why not make Hy find & fix the fault, that's what the warranty is for.  :(

yes i know but i leave march 6 and my wife has to stay behind this time we have chicken cats fish that we will have to give away do not have time and rent out our house to when i come back in 6 weeks we will have time to fix the i 30 my wife will have to drive my hilux

well i by pass the fuel filter and tank just clean fuel going into the fuel pump and got it going now i am running from the tank and fuel filter and it going perfect again  :Shocked: it must have been a fault in a sensor ?????

I know this thread is about you going abroad and making most of us envious and all that, but have you considered investing in a bluetooth OBD dongle? I used mine 2 weeks ago to detect a fault code in our RAV4 (using my Android phone as the receiver). It also reads all "stored codes" too (ie, those that faults that have been detected previously but since self-cleared). It might/would tell you if there was a faulty sensor

thank you just order one on ebay $19  did not know they were around i was going to buy a scan gauge but this is heaps cheaper
