Fatbike tour along Oregon’s coast - FT.com

Fatboy's been everywhere, he's probably ridden that trail, on his fatbike.

I do wonder where and when the term 'pushbike' began.
If a motorcycle is adulteration of the term in order to attach the motor, then perhaps the term 'pedalbike' is an equivalent. However, I have only ever pushed my bike when not riding it, so the term is a bad one. :victory:

You must ride at a fast pace?
or use the brakes hard?

Original tyres so circa 17 years old.

Well my Dear friend Glenis, call's them Pushy's. She is a Registered Nurse & a beautiful person, no one could hate her.
Pushbike is Australian. The English Language does not always make sense.
Look at Gay for instance  :( , well i could call us Peddlers & that could be a drug pusher also. so why not just say " on two wheels "cheers
think with weather how it is we could be paddlers.

You could also look at it this way. you push your right foot down, you lift your left foot up …. you push your left foot down , you lift your right foot up.
Now keep it up, just faster, eventually you will just say pushy.

So true, with a ( you know what ) it does not really mater how many miles or K's you ride, as no oil change to think about, no fuel to add. i know you have a computer on your's & most of the group i ride with have them too. but myself & my Brit riding m8 don't have them. we just ride there & back.
but the guy that run's everything tell's us the distance b4.

I do wonder where and when the term 'pushbike' began.
I believe the term was introduced with the Penny Farthing bicycles because once you got a foot up on one peg you would "push" to take off.

The kids around here still call them Pushy's or deadly treadlies :)

So you reckon it's better to go for a ride of unknown distance and then have him tell you how far you've ridden?
Personally I'd rather know beforehand...

I computer a distance in my mind then after i return check to see how i did.

I usually stray from the initial route as when i'm actually out will decide to take another route depending on my time and or wim

Hey Rusty , well i can't see the point for a ride thats going to start around 9am & probably finish b4 noon. like why would it matter when your retired with all the time in the world , LOL no need to fuel up no L/100k or anything so what's it matter if its 30k or 50k?

I'd like a fold up as i could then take it on the train (and may be the bus) a lot easier.

I've just been informed, by the intarweb, that today is 'World Naked Bike Ride Day', by coincidence. Luckliy its too late to do anything about it. (picture not posted for reasons of good taste).

Righto...looks like we have exactly 12 months to get our collective arses into gear and arrange some kind of collective forum representation at next years WNBRD. Obviously, I'm out because my bike is wedged between the washer and the boiler, but can we count on anyone else keeping Hyundai's end up.....??

Eye, the Fold up would be handy, but they let me take a normal bike on trains in Sydney did not nee to use Bus as had bike.

Hi Mark is it folded & jammed in?
