I would like to know this too!! Gosh I hope this doesn't happen to me... I've had to deal with an old rustbucket since I've had my licence...

Don't worry too much Kimba ... I am pretty sure it was only a small batch from the European factory that had a problem (none from the Korean factory that I can recall)

Hi, a new member here.

I just discovered rust spots under the read window of my i30 hatch.  Bought it in Feb'10.  Model is 1.6 CRDI Editions.

Will be visiting dealer this weekend to point it out.

Sorry to hear about your rust issue  A few Euro members have had such problems unfortunately - appears QC is not quite as good as Korean Factory
